ABOUT US
We are a group of three high school students from Vancouver, Canada hoping to educate the public and especially youth, about feminism. Feminism is such a vital part of our lives and we hope to provide clarity and understanding to its meaning and importance.
THE ISSUE
There has been vast miseducation on feminism throughout generations. People have assumed the definition of feminism is anti-men, and therefore settle for an “equalist” point of view. Feminism has been around for centuries, and is still prevalent and necessary in the world we live in today. Though we’ve made progress through recent years, there is still little education targeted towards children that defines and talks about what feminism truly is.
Students often grow up with misinformed and skewed views of feminism, and education at a young age can help them make informed opinions. Appropriate education will also equip the future generations to make strides towards equality.
